After I graduated from Oakdale High School, I began taking classes at Modesto Junior College.  While there, I received the job offer to work at Burton’s Fire.  At the time, they were designing parts and sales drawings by hand.  They invested in a computer, AutoCAD program, printer for up to 11” x 17” paper, and a plotter for up to 42” wide paper.  After working at Burton’s Fire for a year, I graduated from Modesto Junior College in the spring of 2006 with an Associate of Science Degree in Engineering.  I transferred to California State University, Sacramento with the help of an employer-funded education program implemented by Burton’s Fire.  I worked for Burton’s Fire while attending school, through email correspondence and at the Burton's facility one day  a week.  During this time, Burton’s Fire purchased SolidWorks and CosmosWorks.  These are computer programs that have 3D design and testing capabilities.  I graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a membership in Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. 

As part of our continuing effort to upgrade and provide our customers with the latest drawings and wiring schematics, we run the latest AutoCAD 2-D and SolidWorks 3-D design software.  We can provide our customers with build-up or modification design drawings.

We have an HP 42" wide plotter, and an HP printer for up to 11” x 17” paper. This system provides our customers with technical drawings, and provides our technicians with manufacturing drawings that will enhance our quality control process.

This laptop facilitates us with the latest AutoCAD and SolidWorks software capabilities in the field with customers.
